                               橋頭春到思華年,
                               橋尾秋林入暮煙。
                               橋上河園溫舊夢，①
                               橋西江水作新篇。
                               橋南夏雨鴻南去，
                               橋北冬雲雁北遷。
                               橋下幽情凝作韻，
                               橋心遠念化為編。

                                                Bridge-head, spring arrives—my thoughts return to flowering years,
                                                                   Bridge-end, autumn woods dissolve in dusk’s pale haze.
                                                                   Bridge-top, river gardens warm the dreams of old,
                                                                   Bridge-west, flowing waters draft a chapter new.
                                                                   Bridge-south, summer rains—the wild geese fly away southward,
                                                                   Bridge-north, winter clouds—the wild swans drift back north.
